BUTTERCUP CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL

Our Staff

Doctors

  • Dr. Mary Paige Corcoran , DVM

I have been at Buttercup Creek Animal Hospital since 1990. I am excited to announce my purchase of this clinic in September 2006. It has been a wonderful experience watching so many pets go through all stages of life. I feel privileged to have so many clients trust me with the care of their beloved four legged family members. I am so deeply honored by having so many new clients, many of which are children of previous clients. At present, two Irish Wolfhounds live at my house. I am married and have a wonderful son, Maxwell. My interests outside work are spending time with my family, competitive and recreational bicycle riding, exercise, the outdoors, travel, cooking and reading. I look forward to many more years caring for all the pets and clients of BCAH.

I completed a 4 week externship here at Buttercup Creek Animal Hospital during my 4th year of veterinary school and fell in love with the practice. Shortly after graduation in 1997, I joined the practice full time as an associate veterinarian. I currently own 2 mixed breed cats and 2 dogs; a golden retriever and a cocker spaniel mix. I live in Cedar Park with my husband Darren and son Zachary. My outside interests include swimming, jogging, and tennis. I also enjoy gardening, and relaxing in my back yard around my goldfish pond.

I started working at Buttercup Creek Animal Hospital November 2003. As a recent graduate, I was looking for a mentoring environment that would help me grow as a clinician. My special interest here at work is feline medicine. I am happy to say that I am working with a great group of people. Everyone has been very supportive. I have met some wonderful clients as well!  My husband, Scott and I have 5 'four legged children' (3 cats and 2 dogs). Personal interests, I enjoy reading a good book, spending time with friends and family, playing with the critters, volunteering at my church, and watching home makeover shows. I also enjoy a good conversation about the Aggies, except during football season!

I graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2008 and started working at Buttercup Creek Animal Hospital in June 2008. My goal after graduation was to find a small animal hospital that practiced quality medicine and was excited to mentor me as I began my new career. The doctors and staff at BCAH have been wonderful to work with. Everyone is very supportive and strives to provide the highest quality of service for our patients and clients. My husband, Michael, and I recently moved to Austin with our three dogs, Kenya, Manee and Lucy ~ and our fish, Brazos Outside of work I enjoy backpacking, wildlife photography, traveling, watching Aggie sports, being involved in church activities and most importantly spending time with my family and friends.

Vet Techs

  • Julie Lyon , Lead Veterinary Technician

Hi I'm Julie, a veterinary technician here at BCAH. I began working here my senior year in high school and have basically grown up here. At work, you probably won't see me, because I work with the Doctors caring for your pets before, during, and after the surgery. This is a very rewarding job and each day offers new challenges. I love learning and being exposed to many different medical situations. Since starting here, I have been 'adopted' by 3 cats and 1 dog. I have a very special place in my heart for German Shepherds!
